Some of the issues that we hear a lot of chatter about from investors and in the media, have been the seasonal weakness of the equity market in June, the weakness in the transportation index, the weakness of recent economic data, and investors gravitating to index funds.
The Dow has been in a bull market for well over 6 years now, yet the Dow has been down 8 of the last 10 years during the month of June, and on average down -1.6%. Actually, over the history of the stock market, September has been the worst month averaging about -1%.
