The stock market is finally focused now on Federal Reserve policy and seems to understand what the Federal Reserve means by pain. There are two aspects of what the market needs to come to grips with, 1) the actual correct earnings for 2023 and 2) the correct P/E multiple on those earnings. The earnings estimates are what is uncertain. The P/E multiple seems about where it should be.
