Over the weekend the French narrowed the election down to two candidates, Macron and Le Pen, both polar opposites. Macron is pro-EU and Le Pen is a Nationalist. The stock markets globally went up on Monday and bond yields went up. The dollar went down and the euro up in reaction to the election, as the pollsters believe Macron is a big favorite to beat Le Pen and life will go on as usual in Europe, the EU will survive.
